It’s Marimo with another update for our upcoming game, Sincerely, Stampy! We first unveiled the game in last month’s blog post. Since then, we’ve been focusing on the following goals:
- Get the first 4 of 14 in-game days in the game as completely as possible
- Get a Steam page up to capture wishlists
- Prepare a playable demo for internal playtesting and showcasing at GDC
Let’s see how we did this month!
The First Four Days

The game’s 14-day structure is segmented. The first four days serve as an introduction for the player. Following that point, the game’s routes will begin to more heavily diverge based off of the player’s decisions. The final four days are intended to be what ultimately lead to that playthrough’s conclusion.

We have multiple tiers of quests in the game that scale by complexity. Our goal is for the player to, at the start of the game, wander around and interact with everything they can. This will lead them to collect many, many quests. From there, it is up to the player to decide the order in which they wish to clear those quests, to decide the skills to build up for skill checks, the stamps to equip for stat increases, the characters to interrogate to uncover new information, and so on.
We feel currently that we need just a few more quests available in the early game to make it feel really complete, but the game’s quest flow is in the best state it’s been so far!
Steam Presence

We are working hard to get a Steam page up as quickly as we can. It likely will not be up until April. This is because we need to have screenshots to showcase, but we don’t want to show screenshots on Steam with placeholder art. We do however know which moments we want to screenshot, and have prioritized our art pipeline to focus on those key moments.
The above screenshot, for example, is only missing art for those three showcased interactables!
Internal Demo

I’ve shown this game to a few close and trusted friends of mine. They all have asked for the same thing: a build of the game they can play on their own time so that they can test all sorts of routes. If you’re a close friend of mine with good opinions on video games and wish to test it, reach out to me on Discord. You know my contact information.

The reception to Sincerely, Stampy so far has made me very happy. I hope this update excites you, and I hope you wishlist the game on Steam when the page goes up! Please continue to support the development of this title and others by following me on social media.
Until next time!
